Blisworth House Which has been referred to as "The Hall". In 1727 it was occupied by the Plowman family. In 1718 it was referred to as once the seat of Roger Wake. Note that Church Lane, then named the Alley, seems to have served as a back gate access to the house. A house at the point of emergence of the alley into the Stoke Road (then called South Street) has been known as "Lodge House" - with the obvious inference.
