Stoneacre   The name is based on the owner's name from c. 1925; Ron FreeSTON and a part anagram of his wife's maiden name; CAREy.   In the late 19th century it was the base for the Goodridge family and their blacksmithing trade.  It is one of the most eye-catching buildings in the village, with its thatch and stone mullioned windows.
