The primary purpose of this website is to provide villagers with a knowledge of the majority of historical pictures that we have, and an opportunity to obtain copies.

A collection of old photographs has been started which depict mainly the scenes in and around Blisworth, Northamptonshire, dating from as far back as 1880 in some cases.  Included are also some pictures of groups of people.  Please use the index below to explore the collection.  The source of the material is mainly George Freeston's collection (1911 - 2002).  He assembled the collection over many years whilst serving as the village historian.  He placed much material in the Northampton Record Office (NRO) in 1996, and this material has been searched for images.  There is a second large collection at the NRO which has not yet been searched in the same manner.
